Ovrilo is built around one simple rule: we ask for as little as possible, and what we don't ask for, we don't have. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.
Every sale you log — item, price, platform, costs, dates — is stored only in your own browser, on your own device (a technique called localStorage). It is never sent to us, never stored on a server, and never seen by anyone but you. Clearing your browser's site data, or switching devices, means that data is gone — we can't recover it, because we never had it.
The only personal information Ovrilo ever asks for is an email address — and only when you choose to give one, in one of these specific places:
If you don't submit an email address anywhere on the site, we hold no information about you at all.
We use your email solely to contact you about the thing you asked about — a product update, a launch notice, or the feature you expressed interest in. We use a third-party form service (Formspree) to receive and store these submissions securely. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any other company, and we never will.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful — this does not identify you individually.
If you've given us your email address and want it deleted, or want to know what we hold, email us and we'll deal with it promptly. Since we hold nothing beyond an email address and which form you submitted it through, there is very little to request — but you're entitled to ask, and we'll respond.
If anything about what we collect or how we use it changes — for example, if a real account system is introduced in future — this page will be updated, and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
